In Nadi Astrology, predictions are recorded on palm leaves and categorized according to unique thumbprint patterns. For each thumbprint, there are typically five to six bundles, each containing numerous leaves.

The seeker’s thumbprint guides the astrologer in selecting the closest matching bundle—right thumb for males, left thumb for females. During the session, the reader verifies the correct leaf by reading statements aloud. If the seeker confirms their accuracy, the reader continues; otherwise, the search proceeds until an exact match is found.

Once the correct leaf is identified, the astrologer reads detailed life predictions, including the seeker’s astrological chart, names of family members, education, career, finances, and future outlook. The primary reading, known as the General Kandam (Chapter), provides a broad overview. Additional chapters (Kandams) offering deeper insights into specific life aspects, such as health or relationships, can be requested in further sessions.
